Has extensively studied the Iodine deficiency disorders in this part of the world. Has also suggested the possibility of higher prevalence of follicular carcinoma in Kashmir valley being a consequence of environmental iodine deficiency. Other areas where research of international repute has been conducted are primary infertility, Fibrocalculous pancreatic diabetes mellitus, Sheehan's Syndrome, Diabetes mellitus and growth hormone insensitivity syndrome.
