The department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery is the only superspeciality centre in the state of Jammu and Kashmir that is carrying out Open Heart, Thoracic, Mediastinal and Vascular Surgical interventions as a matter of routine besides the emergency surgical procedures related to this field.
