B.Sc. from Kashmir University or from any other recognized Institute having at least 60% marks. However, for reserved categories the candidate should have at least 55% marks

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Operation Theater Technology
B.Sc. from Kashmir University or from any other recognized Institute having at least 60% marks. However, for reserved categories the candidate should have at least 55% marks.

B.Sc. O.T Technology from SKIMS or any other Govt. recognized University/Institute.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Cardiology
B.Sc. from Kashmir University or from any other recognized Institution having at least 60% marks. However, for reserved categories the candidate should have at least 55% marks.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Radio Therapy
B.Sc. Radiation Sciences Technology from any recognized University/Institute with at least 55% marks and not more than one attempt

B.Sc. with physics as one of the subjects with one year apprenticeship in Radiotherapy.

B.Sc. with physics as one of the subjects with 5 years’ experience as a technician in Radiotherapy

Eligibility Criteria from Sr. No 01 to 04

B.Sc. from Kashmir University or from any other recognized Institution or B.Sc. Technology course in the relevant discipline from any recognized University/Institution.
Should have at least 05 years’ service as Technologist in the concerned subject at SKIMS.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Cardiology

B.Sc. from Kashmir University or from any other recognized Institution

Should have at least 05 years’ service as Technologist in the concerned subject at SKIMS.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Radio Therapy
B.Sc. Radiation Sciences Technology from any recognized University/Institute.

B.Sc. with physics as one of the subjects with one year apprenticeship in Radiotherapy (or) B.Sc. with physics as one of the subjects with 5 years’ experience as a technician in Radiotherapy.

B.Sc. With Physics as one of the subject with 2 year Diploma in relevant field.
Note: The candidate having one of the above eligible criteria should have also 5 years’ experience as technologist in Radio therapy at SKIMS.
Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc. Radio diagnosis
B.Sc. Radio diagnosis from recognized university/Institute.

B.Sc. Radiation Sciences from recognized university/Institute

B.Sc. with science subject with 2 years diploma in Radio diagnosis from a Govt. /Govt. recognized university.
Note: The candidate having one of the above eligible criteria should have also 5 years’ experience as technologist in Radio-diagnosis at SKIMS

Duration: Two Academic years.
Note:-

An In service SKIMS Candidate having less than 5 years’ service as technologist can apply in the open category if he/she fulfills the criteria for the same. However, their applications must be routed through proper channel.
One candidate can apply in one stream only.

Attention In-Service SKIMS Candidates:-

The In-service SKIMS Candidates shall route their application form through proper channel which must reach this office within the stipulated time
The In-service SKIMS Candidates if selected shall have to get themselves relieved from their respective administrations within 15 days from the date of issuance of selection list.
The In-services SKIMS candidates if selected shall have no preferential claim for any elevation/promotion after completion of M.Sc. Technology Degree.
After completion of MSc Technology Degree the in-service SKIMS Candidates shall have to report back to their respective administrations.

Note:-
Candidates working in the State Health Services /Government Medical colleges and its Associated Hospitals of Jammu & Kashmir State should route their application forms complete in all respects through proper channel and should reach this office before the last date.
Entrance Test:
The Entrance Test will be held on: Sunday 10th November 2013 at 2.30 P.M in SKIMS Auditorium Hall.
The eligible candidates fulfilling above criteria shall have to appear in an Entrance Test which shall be conducted by the SKIMS (Deemed University) at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar. It shall consist of one written paper of 100 Multiple Choice Questions in each course carrying 100 marks. The duration of the paper shall be 100 minutes. The distribution of questions in various subjects shall be as under:-

M.Sc. MLT, M.Sc. Med. Tech. M.Sc. Neonatal Sciences Tech. M.Sc. Operation Theater Tech.
M.Sc. Cardiology Technology

The question paper shall comprise:
General: Physics/Chemistry/ Biology = 52 Questions
Specific to subject applied for = 48 Questions

M.Sc. Radiotherapy Tech.
M.Sc. Radio-diagnosis Tech.

General: Radiation Sciences = 52 Questions
Specific to subject applied for = 48 Questions

There shall be no negative marking. Each correct answer shall carry one mark. Question left unmarked, erased, overwritten or not marked shall not be given any mark.
Selection:-
To qualify the entrance test a candidate must secure 50% marks and above. Selection of candidates in each course shall be made strictly on the basis of merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the SKIMS as per the seats available in each course from amongst those having obtained 50% marks and above in the Entrance examination in the order of merit. In case, any seat falls vacant due to non-availability of candidate(s) in any category, including In-service seats the same shall be filled from amongst the Open Merit candidate(s) as per the merit. List of selected candidates will be available on SKIMS Website.
Inter-se-merit:-
If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the written examination, their inter-se-merit for selection shall be determined on the basis of marks obtained in the concerned B.Sc. /B.Sc. Technology Final Examination. The candidate having obtained higher marks in the concerned B.Sc. Final examination shall rank ahead to the one having obtained lesser marks.

How to apply:-
The Application forms shall be available at SKIMS web site www.skims.ac.in only and no application forms shall be issued from Academic Section SKIMS. The candidates are advised to prepare a Demand Draft amounting to Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five hundred only) from any Branch of J&K Bank pledged to Financial Advisor & CAO, SKIMS, Dated between 22nd of October to 7th of November 2013 before filling in the application form and insert the Bank Draft No. against the appropriate column in the application form.
The downloaded print outs of the application forms along with the attested copies of the following documents shall reach the office of the undersigned up to 7th November 2013 and no application form shall be entertained beyond the last date. The in-service candidates after applying through online shall forward the printouts of application forms through their employer and shall reach this office within the stipulated time.

B.Sc. Acad / B.Sc. Technology/Marks and Degree certificate.
Date of Birth certificate/Matriculation certificate.
Character certificate from the Institution last attended.
State subject certificate.
Category certificate wherever applicable.
Any other certificate demanded by the SKIMS University.

Note:-

In case of selection of an in-service candidate including in-service SKIMS for any particular specialty he/she shall not be allowed to join his/her course without relieving order within the stipulated time in the Academic Section.
