DEPARTMENT OF MEDICAL RECORDS

The Department of Medical Records is an important department under the control of Medical Superintendent. The department is headed by a trained Medical Record Officer. The section is entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining the records of all the patients admitted in the wards and the patients treated in out patient departments. this department was started with responsibility for initiation, development, processing and preservation of patient records which are used for patient follow-up, medical education and research. The Central Admission Office and hospital enquiry of main hospital have been computerized. The departments responsibilities are as under:
