Sanitation and House Keeping

Sanitation Department besides maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of different areas of the hospital has undertaken following activities during the year:-

  • Main settlement tank as a support for main sewerage plant.
  • Installed & commissioned another incinerator, as a measure to fill the gaps in H. waste management and handling.
  • Introduced in every patient care area needle destroyer for effective biomedical waste management.
  • Undertook the civil work for waste collecting enclosure in close proximity to incinerator plant to avoid spillage and sewerage of hospital waste.
  • Started Dog eradication programme within the Institute campus and made the process institutional, without being dependent on public utility system.
  • Started a teaching programme for nursing personnel, technologists and other related staff for segregation of hospital waste.
