DEPARTMENT OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE

The Department of Nuclear Medicine is catering to all the needs related to Nuclear Medicine procedures. The Department is equipped with two gama camers (one single head and one dual head), a fast fax scanner, thyroid uptake probe and gama counters. Procedures such as Myocardia perfusion imaging, Hepatobiliary imaging, bone scanning, blood pool imagine, G.I. bleed imaging, renal imaging, thyroid scanning, cerebal blood flow imaging, C.S.F. imaging (Shunt patency and hydrcocle), lung perfusion imaging, parathyroid imaging, iodine 1131 whole body imaging etc., are regularly carried out. In addition the department also provides 1131 abletion therpy for patients of thyrotoxisosis and cancer thyroid with an isolation ward facility.

The department is running post doctoral (Ph.D), Post Graduate Courses & (DNB) in Nuclear Medicine
